VoxPopuli Modpacks (Update: 4.22)

Hi,
I have installed the latest CP without Vox Populi and I noticed that trying to play a scenarios does not work. The game crashes. Is this with all versions of CP?

Hello, I have reinstalled Civ V on Steam (Windows), and installed the BigPack version from the shared google drive. There appears to be an issue with the tech tree (researched technology cards are emptied out and the tech icon is gone). Could the installation be busted, or is that a bug in the mod?

It's a recently added feature.
Removing icons reduces the load on memory hence the likelyhood of crash to desktop in late game (industrial era and onwards).

Iirc at a certain point years ago a VP update changed something that broke scenarios (and with it the possibility of modding scenarios for VP) but I don't know about the details.

Diplomacy seems a bit bugged at times. In my current game it's happened a few times now that the AI will approach me with an offer, and when I click to accept it they say the offer isn't good enough.

What's the verdict on the latest modmodpack 4.22? I believe me and my MP group are still using either the 4.15 or 4.16 modmodpack, which I wouldn't exactly call stable, but it is playable for the most part. Just wondering if it's worth updating, and if there's been any significant changes with regards to stability and features since then.

Check what they say in the offer. When renewing a deal they may want better offers.

When I update, I generally update civ vp to the most recent version of Agiwan.
It may have unsync and force resync sometime.

If I have to say conservatively, it is at least 99% playable and worth trying.
If I have to say subjectively, it is totally impressive and very pity if you don't update yet.

Good to hear! I don't mind resyncing, it's the crashing that can be really annoying.

Only reason I haven't updated in a while is because I have to convince 5 other people to update, and if the update turns out to be more unstable I tend to get the blame :crazyeye:

So, I decided to try this modpack out, redownloaded fresh copy of the game, deleted my civ settings folder in documents, copied the folders of the modpack into the DLC directory, game booted, played up to tun ~50 then game stucked at next turn. Saved the game and tried to restart it, now every time i click on load game, my game CTD. What is the possible problem/solution?

If you load the game that you have just previously saved, you still have to restart the game. (close civ, clear cache, then reopen it, but you may already know)

Turn off yield icon. Don't play at high resolution (I played at width = 1360 pixel). If one of the players violate such thing, all players can crash, I believe.

Btw, I didn't encounter any crash and your case may be different from me.

I have a reoccurring CTD on a peculiar game, i'm at turn 109, and when either shaka end it's turn or the city states takes their, I get CTD instantly.
(I did empty cache, twice) , maybe it's the mod that enhance city state but im not sure.

Hi everyone. I love Yet Not Another Earth Maps Pack Mod with true starting locations for civilizations. Is there a way where I could play Multiplayer with my friends with Vox Populi and on one of the Yet Not Another Earth Maps and with true starting locations at the same time?

Diplomacy seems very wonky with this patch. An AI player offered me to capitulate if I gave them 2700 gold. The thing is, we weren't even at war.

The only "relation" I had with that civ was that we had a defensive pact with a third civ, but separately. We were also both at war with a fourth civ, but again, completely separately. Something wonky going on in that interaction.

I've also noticed the health of units during combat seems to get summarized immediately, instead of after each battle. For example, if my unit will get attacked three times, I'll see the end total health of that unit immediately before all battles have even taken place.

Apparently, on the 4.22 version, everything seems to work except that my workers can't build quarries, mines and so on on luxury resources, even after I have researched the prerequisite technologies, which impacts my happiness and trading

Has anyone encountered this problem?
I have CIV5 from Steam + VP 4.22.
I've noticed that:
1. Legalism doesn't give 4 free buildings.
2. God of the Open Sky doesn't give +1 Culture. Instead, it gives +1 Faith.
3. Pagoda only gives +2 Faith, even though it's supposed to provide other bonuses.

The legalism bug is fixed for the next version. Report the other issues on github.

This should also be reported.

This is intentional, AI players can voluntarily offer vassalage to players they're at peace with if they're losing a war and need protection.

It's always been like this, it's due to how the game core and the UI interact, we can't change it.

I'm not aware of such an issue in 4.22, it's probably caused by one of the other mods you're using in the modpack.

Ok so I guess the previous diplomacy stuff I've mentioned is working as intentional in that case. But now an AI demanded 15 gold per turn, but I couldn't click accept, only refuse. I was making over 250 gold a turn so that wasn't the issue. We had no such previous deal.
