MoM is Master of Magic
A great Microprose game very similar to Civ 1
His avatar is a character from that game...
The Spell of Mastery was the equivalent of launching to Alpha Centauri in that game...

that's what happens if you play translated games. fortunately i can buy my games in the original version by now.

IT: Vikings land next to undefended Atlanburg as do the russians. Vikings have a zerk, musket, and 2 warriors. Russians have a sole knight.

1260: Load caravel with mucket and MDI and ship them to Atlanburg. New Dzuunbaym is now undefended.

1265: Tired of these city names, found Desert Salt. Atlanburg incursions eliminated. Build Aztec Coast.

IT: more Atlanburg landings.

1275: Build Coastal River. Raze Yekaterinaburg.

1290: Build Baruunsuu.

Watch that Hittite settler trio. FInish the Russians. Muskets and settlers needed badly in the south. Cav. army near Atlanburg. New cavs should go west to Aztec coast front. Lots of border demonstrations with knights by the Aztecs. Once we ge the south cleaned up we can shift our focus. Ragnor is a pain. Every few turns he drops troops on the west coast for us to clean up. Looking forward to building a bunch of frigates to keep him under control.

OK wasnt on my computer, so wasnt able to keep track of everything.
I forgot about the SG rules at one point and accepted Russian cities in peace treaty but abandonned them next turn when I remembered.
I tried to resettle as fast as I was razing didnt really keep up.
Still the AIs only founded one city (the hittites settler that previous player posted about).
Russian are down to 2 cities, and south peninsula is mostly done.
Declared on Aztecs, razed 6 cities in about 5 turns including a few big ones (2 GWs).
We have something like 5 or 6 cava army and they are doing great, for some reason the ennemies are building very few riflemen even though they have nationalism...
I would take 3 more aztecs cities (it will be obivous which ones) including capital, then i guess they will want peace, then get ready for hittites.
I sometimes think I am not playing the same game as you guyz as I saw exactly 0 scandinavian units in my whole turns... :)

Seems it's getting boring in that thread.
I built an SoD of pigeons and other pigeons keep flipping to the SoD constantly,does SoD gives culture?The border of my pigeon den will expand soon.
@viper,what's your plan of Vpr5?
@Team,game is in the bag I think.How funny the world is early industrial in 14th century,I thought we could launch spaceship if we hadn't held variants.

@plarq: On Industrial Age thing, I suggest you look at GAIII (Revenge of the Demigods.) We entered the Modern Age around the date of this game now (tech pace was very interesting there, I mean, 4 turn research for the human on Demigod!) For Vpr5, I still don't know. Maybe your variant you posted as Japan in WWII Pacific. switzerland variant, NOT, etc. Still looking for a couple more ideas before really finalizing what will happen. For the pidgeon den, the border will only expand if the pidgeon den is cultured. Is there a library or anything else like that for the pidgeons there? If so, I strongly suggest selling it to other pidgeons because of the variant. And a really big stack of pidgeons is good, and dangerous if you include some artillery.
