Burn Edfu. I have lots of fun with the 2 movement thing with my Keshiks, moving them through Egyptian mountains with no penalty.
IBT- A Keshik produces a great leader, Kublai Khan! Golden Age ends. Units with leader destroyed and leader dies.

Burn Augsburg. Get an MGL. Entremont razed (sorry to see KT go, but it was just going to flip.) Ulyasutay founded.

I've turned much of the land west and south of us into rubble, build cities there. Finish off Brennus, we can do it. Whack the Egyptians a bit more then sign peace and get Education. Germany has 2 cities but we're almost out of troops, get Koln as well as peace. On to Doc Tsiolkovski.

Edit:If possible,I'd swap or skip ahead since I'll have Internet access/Civ access difficulty in Jan. 16th-20th(Returning home after this semester).

Without happiness buildings, we desperately need any Luxes we can get. Buy Silks from Russia for Theology (anyone else but Germany has it already).
We will get almost everything from Brennus btw; since we’re more powerful now, I think I’ll make peace after a few more cities, and concentrate on Cleo.

Turn 1: 660AD
Raze Burdigala for 93gp, 3 Slaves and a Treb. Kill some stray units from several Civs.
Make happy with Brennus for Edu, Gunpowder and 750gp. Speaking of GP, we don’t have any; Egypt has. Just another reason to get rid of them.
Start minimum run on PP with a homeless Scientist.

Turn 2: 670AD
Make peace with Germany for Republic (nothing else to get), an Archer is threatening a hurt Keshik.

Turn 3: 680AD
Regroup and heal.

Turn 4: 690AD
Found Hovd, and we have Furs.
IBT:
Ack, Monty asks us for a peace treaty, despite ‘Renegotiate’ is off :confused:; we are now at war with the Aztecs again, I didn’t want to lock us into another 20 turns. But I agree with peace for Mursilis. Loose 2 Slaves to Aztecs.

Turn 5: 700AD
Kill stuff. Notice we don’t have a single embassy so far, fix that.

Turn 6: 710AD
Raze the Aztec town next to Tashkent.
Raze Byblos.
Reconnect some Luxes, we don’t need to be afraid of demands now.
Celts know PP.

Turn 7: 720AD
We raze Hieraconoplis.

Turn 8: 730AD
Another MGL by whacking an Aztec Longbow – exactly where I want the Pentagon, at Iron Port.
Settle at Berlin’s rubble; we would have Dyes now, but an Aztec city blocks the trade route.
We could easily raze a couple more Egyptian cities, but we need to wait for Settlers.
IBT:
Pentagon done (culture in Iron Port will give us access to lots of tiles later)

Turn 9: 740AD
Raze Heliopolis.
Slay 2 Aztec Knights and a Pike.
IBT:
Lots of Aztec MDIs show up.
Celts complete Sistine.

Turn 10: 750AD
Buy Silks from Russia again. Buy Incense from Hittites. Since I now ship Ivory away, we may face ACavs later; but IMHO that doesn’t matter.

NOTES:
*Don’t push too fast; unless we have Settlers at hand, we cannot claim the territory.
*Bishkek would make a great city (MilAc), if we settle a town at blue dot to pull in some Hills.
*Tashkent needs infra.
*Settler for the Spices is on spot.
*Load a Musket into the MDI Army; this is the one case where a mixed Army is better (3 or 4 MDI don’t change anything for Attack, but the defender helps for Defence). And, that Army should move E to help against the Aztecs (IMPORTANT: There is another stack of Aztec MDI near Haran).
*Keep rushing Settlers out of Bishbalik; that is the one town that grows really fast.
*We should take out the Egyptian core, and then make peace for Techs. The most important city to found is next to the Saltpetre N of their capital.
*The German city of Leipzig has lots of Incense, may be a nice target soon.

as number is rounded down to an integar,I still say 4 MDI is stronger than 3 MDI+Musket,given Musket is 50s while MDI is 40s.

Before MilAc
3 MDI/ 1 Musket = +14/6 Attack, +10/6 Defence; rounded down = +2/+1
4 MDI = +16/6 A, +8/6 D = +2/+1

However, you may not use the mean values; the correct strength is always (A/D of the unit visible + bonus).
Thus, both Armies will attack with 4+2=6; the composite Army will have less attack when redlined, but then, it shouldn't attack anyway ;).
But, on defence:
A pure MDI Army will always defend with 2+1=3; the mixed Army will see the Musket stepping up (especially helpful when the Army is already hurt) and defending with 4+1=5.

After the MilAc a pure MDI Army will have an attack of 8, compared to 7 for the mixed Army; but when we have the MilAc, we also have 4Cav Armies who attack at 12 anyway.
