Well, if by "play around it" you mean wiping out any AI that's getting close to information era, I guess that is a solution ...

You just need to be ready to buy great people when half the civs get to the atomic era, so you'll get the information era ones.

I indeed just crippled Peter and Mvemba. Carl Sagan appeared, but I still had no use for him since the game was over and there was no need to go for space anyways. Peter got wiped out by accident. His last city got overrun by one of my city states. :S

Funny enough Mvemba declared war on me later with only 2 cities left, and he sends.... a worker into my land. Yeah.

Did have a -144 with everyone because it was a small map and "I was winning" due to leading in domination.
