I'm trying to allow a certain Caravan unit to travel quickly between
any two of my cities. Quickly means within a single turn. One way I
found was to set the domain into DOMAIN_AIR, but this is not a
good solution for two reasons:
1) It also allows the unit to conduct "Reconnaissance Missions"
2) It degrades performance enormously (as I also would have to set
the air range to 1000 or so...)
Bad solution.
The other option is setting iMoves to 1000 or so (as well as setting
bNoRevealMap to 1 to avoid scouting cheating). As it turns out, this
too quickly becomes a bad solution - the unit won't walk on water.
And here's the problem. I can't seem to figure out how to enable a
unit to walk on land AND water. Except through this technique:
Gunships over water - now possible, but buggy, which is a dirty
solution and I'm not too fond of those.
So, is there any other way to allow a unit to walk across both land
AND water?
Thanks!
