Actually, RX2000, Offensive wars brought upon us by the domino war (Everyone declared war on us and allied with another leading to every known nation against us) made us the nation we are today, without such offenses we would be the size of Rome. However, right now I think the only reasons to wage offensive wars are...
A.) AI declares war against us and we need to "convince" them to seek acceptable peace terms.
B.) AI declares war against us and we find a reason such as a wonder or prime land which we could get from extending the war. (only with citizen approval of course)
Notice neither of the options has us declare war against the AI. I'm also starting to reconcider my opinion on tricking the AI into war. I used to be supportive, but would want citizen support before such an action would be taken. But now, I'm undecided in my personal stance, however no matter what my stance I will always make sure there is a poll before we declare war or lengthen war longer than it needs to be.
