Warlords Instruction Manual

Incidently, that was the first time I really looked at the instructions. It's a good read, should have at least scanned it sooner.

I also have a Firaxis Logo without the actual word "Firaxis." The logo on the front of the manual is fine, and the binding seems fine too.

when i took the book out of the box, about 20 pages fell on the floor. i was sourly disappointed in the quality of product put out. it's sad a game has such loyal followers and yet still cuts corners like this one. i love the game, but had difficulty reading the manual since it was a bunch of loose pages. i plan on having them copied and put in a binder.

how many will judge the game or the game producers by this display of workmanship?
My warlords manual also fell to shreds. I work for $8/hour before taxes. Pretty please sell me a product that is worth my $30?

Thats funny. Mine is missing the "Firaxis" on the back, but it is on the front. After a couple sit-downs with the book a few pages come loose, but nothing really to gripe about. However , the boy wouldve went though a whole shelf of these books by now Laugh- pages would laying all around the house.
As far as the writing goes, this was actually a usefull manual with pleasant reading. Ive gotten used to civbooks that are of no use except for the appendix in the back with hotkeys listed. I tried twice to read on the civ3 manual and finally, I tore the pages out myself. The civ4 book was not much use except to peruse throufgh and get the main differences in the version.. I was pleasantly surprised that the warlords manual went through the scenarios with a bit of detail and re-wrote the new data for the civs- all laid out and clear (and in the same section of the book. Also the main changes from vanilla, through the patches and through warlorrds seems to be listed. So tht was helpfull.
All in all I was happy with the manual AND the game. I think its a fine addition.

the front of my manual, in the lower right corner has a "hurricane" swirl with Firaxis games underneath.
The back has the same thing, but is missing the "firaxis" But there is a blank spot where it wouldve been
Oh by the way, texas, usa walmart purchase

Hi

I live in Australia and i bought Civ warlords from ebay. BUT the actual warlords was shipped from USA, the item came and didn't have the word firaxis at the back. but the binding was good, so i don't think USA have crappy manuals that fall apart. But the interesting this was that. when i opened the warlords box, i had to slide out a crappy cardboard box and take out the DVD in a SLEEVE not a a case.

Just an omen of things to come. Worldwide. In a game store near you.

Truth be told -- as long as they don't cut corners with the actual game, it's no big deal to me.

Mark me down as having a few pages that hit the floor with great regularity - within about 4 days of buying it the problem appeared. :(

Mine is missing Firaxis from the back cover too.

It also has a different description for the "protective" trait for Saladin than for the other leaders with that trait. It says for Saladin that it gives Drill I for archery, sige and armored units.

And just now the pages broke away from the binding :) Just now, as I looked up Saladin's protective trait. I have a lap full of loose pages.

Is your manual falling apart in your hands?
