Warlords Patch 2.13 Released!

I downloaded the DirectX thing and then extracted it to my games and now there's all these things like Apr 2007, Nov 2007, and some other things. What do I do and how do I install the DirectX.:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

gah :) they removed the real installer so I accidentally gave you the link for the developers version :blush: it should extract a file called dxsetup.exe as well - you want to run that and afterwards delete all the .cab files, the dxsetup.exe, and the dsetup.dll and dsetup32.dll from your my games folder to get rid of the clutter...

i am downloading directx now... thank God for this forum.

BTW theese guys need to get their act together. i know i'm not the only one who's pissed. they are lucky they have such a loyal fan base. thank you Sid.:(
 
LoLZ.. I didnt even know there was a new patch for Warlords.. lOlZ.. I was still running 2.08! :D

But yeah, im downloading the massive 80 Mb now! Hope tis worth it! :)..
 
Oh FFS!

I downloaded it, and ran installer, than it first installed the newest Civ4 vanilla patch, then after that installed the 2.13, Im using Vista, so after that was all done, I restarted comp, logged on, ran Warlords and it comes up with the:

"d3dx9_32.dll" Error thingy, so I downloaded the .dll from the .dll online library and now, what should I do with the .dll? Put it where?

don't use the online library, just get the newest DirectX9c from Microsoft - it needs a new version of that file and online libraries are notoriously out of date. The installer I linked to will install it in the correct place for you (and actually also the library files you actually need - the .dll is not the problem).

This is my first post !!

I installed de v2.13 patch and the DirectX Software Development Kit
Now, i get the this:
"cannot locate the CD-ROM
please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

But the game's CD-ROM is running ok, and i have the original civ 4 and warlords CDs !!

What's wrong??

this is a problem with safedisk - which is the security feature used by Civilization to verify your disk.
The most common reasons are:
you have a virtual drive installed (e.g. from a cd burning software like nero) uninstall it
your cd drive drivers/firmware are outdated and do not work with the current safedisk release - you might want to update those
 
The problem is that i don't have a virtual drive, and my dvd-rom is a Matshita UJ 840d. There is no drivers/firmware in the net.

I think this has no solution.....:(
 
It's OK mauks. This happened to me once. It turned out the cd-rom was a little to much to the left so I kicked the computer (not too hard) and it works fine!:D :D
 
Having installed the latest patch to warlords by following the in-program update procedure, we now cannot play either civIV or warlords without causing a blue screen crash. we have an ati radeon HD 2400 pro w/ 256Mb mem. graphics card on a dell with 2G ram and 1.8 processing speed. The game played ok after I loaded the ati graphics card patch (1.5mumble), but the latest pacth seems to have put this computer into a gaming death spiral.

You have to update the DirectX9c. http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=6184
 
I tried downloading the patch several times and each time it says that Civilization is not installed and it requires a previous version to install the patch. I have tried to reinstall it and don't know what to do next.
 
i have civ4 gold and when i try to install any patch or mod it says that civ is not installed and recuires a later version to install i updated my direct x, uninstalled and reinstalled civ, tried checking for updates in the advanced section in the game and still its a no go on a patch/mod install how in the heck do i fix this? i've downloaded patches and mods from other sites but get the same thing every time what can i do to resolve this issue? this stuff is new to me
