WC 2006: Group E

Barros starts for the Czechs! Striker Luca Toni is on the bench for Italy, in favour of a midfielder. Is Italy already aiming for a draw? Even before the game has begun?

my heart wants Ghana and Czech to win today....my prediction was USA/Czech, but I think it could be Czech and Italy...definitely the most exciting finish in this group

Great, another card-happy referee.

If this is intended as a reference to the US-Italy game, then you're way off the mark. That referee was actually quite friendly to the US. Had he followed the rules to the letter then he would've sent Eddie Pope off in the first half, instead of giving him just a yellow card.

Pope didn't deserve to be thrown off, he gets the ball, and the guy trips over him. Not a card, but a foul.

bullfeathers!
He took down a player with a clear path to the goal in the first half. That's an autmantic red card. It says so very clearly in the rules...

Damn't! What the hell is Claudio Reyna doing? Dribbling out of the back? ********.

Ghana scores, 1-0.

Claudio Reyna is out, very bad news for the US.

Might end up being a good thing. What do you think? Seemed last game
he tired in the second half and was less than effective. Who was his sub?

We scored??? Miracles never cease:)
