WC 2006: Group E

Woosh... what a first half time !

I've spent my time to switch between both games on TV ! :crazyeye:

I hope it will continue this way for the 2nd half. Americans have the ressources to get back in the score. It will be tougher though for Czech Republic to score now that they are reduced to 10.

Might end up being a good thing. What do you think? Seemed last game
he tired in the second half and was less than effective. Who was his sub?

We scored??? Miracles never cease:)

Maybe, let's hope Ben Olsen plays good.

Too bad we squandered that tying goal.

Halftime. At least Ghana's beating us, not Czech Republic.

Could ya'll describe what happened to give Ghana the penalty shot?

What a patently ridiculous penalty the Ghanaians were handed - I'll just go and cheer for the US now out of spite.

I haven't seen the fault because of which the US conceded a penalty, I was watching Italy vs Czech Republic. And now on both channels it's the HT ads.

Could you describe the fault ?

In an inordinately generous interpretation of events, you could theoretically see Onyewu's standing next to Pimpong as the mildest possible push that, on your lucky day, would result in a free kick if it had occurred in the middle of the pitch.

Never worth a penalty.

I was feeling okay at 1-1, but somehow I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of the US scoring three goals . . .

Actually, I'm surprized but the US are clearly dominating this game against Ghana. The best Ghanaian opportunities are on counters. I wasn't expecting that considering the good quality of the Ghanaian midfield.

I don't believe Czech can come back. Italy just had insane chances to score because of awful mistakes from the Czech defence. Obviously Czech are totally depressed and have difficulties to focus.

That means that as it is now, the US are in the 2nd round if they win against Ghana.

As you can see, I try to make the show in this thread ! :D

Well, even if that's meaningless now, I would still be happy if the Americans equalized.
I've predicted a draw... :mischief:

Is it just me, or is Ghana the most fragile team ever? If you look at them funny they fall to the ground and hold their leg for five minutes.

Well, US goes home. Any chance Brazil could finish 2nd in their group and get to play Italy instead?
