What we really need is a political revolution, during war-time the democracy is tottaly uneffective so if you get dragged into a long war subversives appear. Also if we had a non-democratic state the leader could make more effective decisions based upon what he is told, as I've said before this would allow that the right decisions are made because in a poll the people do not know what's best for them. It would be better that the leader and their advisers made the important decisions relegating the polls to less important matters which do not threaten the security of the state

boris7, This should realy be in the poll section ;) :)
Plus. This poll is invalid due because there is no Abstain option and some of the Governments have not been discovered yet :) ;).

1. Polls belong in the polls forum. That's what it's there for ;)

2. Leaders are not always chosen for their specific in-game abilities, but can equally be chosen for their ability to work with our democratic system to create policies and strategems through discussion and polling.

3. Reducing the ability of the citizenry to decide the nation's future (for better or for worse) would result in our losing players due to lack of interest. People join the demogame because they want to help direct it in peace and war. :)

I think there is a blurring of the lines between governments in game and outside.

To suggest that we play this game as a despotism, Monarchy or some other form of government with limited input from all citizens is ludicrous.

This poll is invalid.

However, the topic may well be worth discussing. I would encourage the author to open a discussion thread in the citizens forum.

I can understand, I was once a Newbie to the Demogame but I learn things very quickly :).I also understand that some people it takes time to learn the consitution and the Three books, while others just learn very quickly. Lets just let Boris go for this time :). Right now I am a veteran to the demogame *CivGeneral hopes to be a Big Name

Boris7 - are you suggesting that we revolt from this style forum game and change to Civ3 - Game of Communism? :) . Careful, you've made 40J quit looking for a rock. I think I would now recommend a discussion thread, so that people new exactly what you're aiming for here. Good luck.

Triple *gasp*
