Weird graphics issue - nVidia

I just emailed support with this issue, put I thought I share this - just to see if anyone else has the same problem. Hopefully it will be sorted in the upcoming patch.

Image1 - funny horizontal lines
Image2 - what it should look like. I find Alt-Tabbing or switching the anti-aliasing level back and forth sorts the issue, at least temporarily.

I have this issue as well, running an Nvidia 6800 256mb PCI Express card. My game works well in all other areas, I am able to play with almost no problems but as soon as I zoom out I get those same lines, I hate it! I hope the patch will fix it next week!

I get the exact same thing on my computer. Im currently using the 81.85 drivers. I tried to downgrade my drivers which did actually clear up the blue horizontal streaks, unfortantely other worse graphical occurances happened because of this. Im now back at 81.85. It doesnt bother me to much cause the game is still playable, but it would be nice to get this fixed. Please keep us informed if u hear anything from support. By the way does the game for u guys ever lock up for like 5 seconds and than resume normally?

I have the exact same issue. It always happens if I Alt-tab which I've only done once(testing if I could play the game at work during downtime

Otherwise, the graphics are fine at first, I can zoom out, nice world, clouds, etc, but then after a certain period of play I get glitchy lines when I zoom out a certain distance. Also there are appear to be lines in the mini-map as well.

All graphic settings are set to max including AA(application controlled)

System:

Nforce 3
NVIDIA 81.85 Release drivers
BFG 6800GT OC
512mb RAM
Windows XP

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing this issue! Like you say the game is still completely playable, but it's a little irritating. I will post again if/when I get a mail back from support.

The wonder movies and splash screens would not play when I first installed the game. The performance of the game was great and the religion movies would play fine. I upgraded to 81.85 drivers to get the movies to play. Now all the movies and screens work except for the extreme zoom out view turns to horizontal lines. If I zoom back in everything returns to normal. HOWEVER, now after the first religion or wonder movie plays my performance to turns to choppy at best and stuttering\rubberbanding at worst. The game is unplayable after this point. I guess its time to roll back the drivers

P.S I need the old drivers to get AoE III to play and the new drivers to get C IV to play. What a mess

I get the same blue lines on the globe map, but besides that the games runs perfectly...... i love it.
