Welcome New Members

Hello, I discover your site few months ago. I play all the series since the second, and I must recognize that I play probably too much !!!!!

Hello everyone! I'm new to the game and I'm looking forward to playing it. Currently I only have Civ3 (no expansions) but if it plays as well as I hope; I should be running to the store soon for Civ4.

<Cheers>

I'm a long time Civ fan, played the original on PC and Amiga, then all of the sequels. I'm doing CIV-Warlords now, and using Blake's Better AI mod (which is still a work in progress, but makes for a more challenging and interesting game with smarter AI).

Hi everybody! I've been playing Civ since the first one, spent countless hours with it on my SNES, and later PC. Loved all the other Civ games made since then almost as much. I look forward to meeting you guys.

Just saying hello! Huge civ fan, love warlords. Never really played multiplayer. I'm on the forums looking up strategy, specifically how to get the most out of specialists.

I've been a civ player since i was 15...so for 12 years it's been a part of my life. it's nice to find some other fanatics, especially the really smart ones who can help me improve my gameplay. :)

Hello all,

Hi ALL! Brand-Newbian here... I'm glad I found this site and these forums. I've been playing Civ3 complete for a week now, and I can't pull myself away!
I'l be using these forums on a regular basis... hope to meet some other brilliant leaders. :king:

Just started to snoop around the net searching for a way to mod Civ III to make it better according to ME. I had always tried making mods, but couldn't figure it out from the cryptic readme included in the editor help. So today I found myself thinking about how it would be great to make a game that had unit characteristics that seemed more realistic. For example, I want an attack helicopter that will pretty much not get hurt when attacking a pikeman, except if maybe you figure in random mechanical failures. But then I thought, hey, I don't know how to make an attack helo graphic. Low and behold, I'm here, finding a treasure trove of resources. A cursory search of this website had me convinced I should sign up... Look at all the talent, time, and effort that has gone into not just new unit creations, but creations of all kinds for the game! I applaude all of your hard work in making it easier for people like me to find what I want, use it, and make a great game even better and more in depth! I can't wait to keep coming back (when I have time!) to see all that is new. Maybe, one day, I will be able to make some contributions that make someone's gameplay more enjoyable, no matter how trivial. Thanks for welcoming me aboard!

Cheers,

Hello,
I have been playing Civ for many years. There is that one Civ II game that I played that was so memorable that I have yet to have it outdone, I customized a race and the map was one of those maps that had everything and the game sticks in my memory.
There were a lot of features within Civ 3 that I didn't particularly care for.
I received Civ 4 for Christmas along with the Warlords Expansion and have become addicted again.
I read through Sulla's walkthrough to get some insight into the inner workings of the game.
So far, I think that Civ 4 is leaps and bounds over any of the previous Civs and in my humble opinion, should be used in schools to teach the complexities of the modern world and give insights to the world's young people about cause and effect as well as long range planning and management among a myriad of other learning experiences.
The time spent on the developement and refinement of the Civ 4 package is well worth the price of admission.

hey, i'm a new member obviously but not to the game. i'm really in this for questions. I'll just ask one here: i've got civ iii, gold edition, and i want to make a senario, how do i access the editor.

New to this forum, but not new to Civ games...I am struggling, though, to win in the Prince level. Spend much time fighting off pesky Barbarians and can't develop cities. Suggestions?

Thanks for the Civ III Conquests Scenarios and MODpacks! Many hours of enjoyment and frustration! Pure bliss! It doesn't get much bettter than this. Many thanks to you guys for spending all those damn hours and months to make the games.
