I always thought forest goblins were skinny :F They live in the forests and don't eat a lot, and they are crazy!

Edit: Oh wait, that's not his stomache... that's a huge empty space!
 
It's looking good.
However, mmmrrrr is right in that spiders are ridden by forest goblins, and that shield is a typical night goblin shield. :) So my suggestion is to change the shield, and then start animating (however, since aaglo posted that preview more than two hours ago, it's probably finished already :p).

That depends on how big they are! The animations should also reflect the influence of the shrooms on the gobbos, lots of skittishness and insanity.
 
I've been trying to read up on Dork Redeye, and it seems that he's an orc. :eek: Thus I'm thinking of changing the Goblin leader to Skarsnik instead. This would probably lead to renaming the civ too, Crooked Moon Goblins. Any thoughts on this? Especially from those of you who are deep into the fluff... :smoke:

How bout we persuade (kidnapp his elven GF :evil:) aaglo to re-make the Gobbo civ into Night Gobbos? :cool: And the Orks into Orks and normal Gobbos. :) Ooo! Ooo! And a Hobgobbo civ would be nice, together with the Ogres for the release of WH 47.3 :mischief:

I can find some nice pics if you (fine, fine, aaglo too.. :rolleyes:) are interested?

We'll make them more Night gobboish, but not 100% NG. They have a new spearman, for example, the Night Goblin Spearman.
But they will get this new spider rider, which isn't very Night Goblinoid, as they're forest goblins. They will still need orcs for their infantry.

I can promise that there will never be any orks in this mod. ;)
 
But Gobbos have their own infantry units! And Orks have their own shamans and arrer boyz and..And.. and.. Forest Gobbos work together with Night Gobbos very well, it seems so based on what I saw on GW, but I never saw Common Gobbos with N.G.

What does your last statement mean? :confused:
 
they dont have them but couldnt they make it up with overwhelming numbers?

and Mrtn could we please please please ditch the squiggoth? maybe swap it for a snotling pump waggon or something?
 
I'm quite sure, that I won't be making any night-gobbo civ units, so there is virtually no chance to see a ng-civ.

@mrtn, go ahead and change the name as you see fit :)

@stormrage, the two races will still be mixed. And I don't see where the squig hopper would go in the unit tree... it's quite marginal unit, so I don't see it fit well in the epic game mod.
And IIRC, the saurus gunner is still in.

@kairob, why should we ditch the squiggoth? and we don't have any gfx for "snotty pumpin' wagun"...

Here's an updated preview of the goblin spider rider (not many changes: shield, gobbo head, spider skin texture, spearhead).
