No, it's not :)
Easy to defend, you have some fresh water, lots of mounains for mining (and thus possible good resources).
But you'll be growing very slowly ;)

How many of us have been playing Civ 4 so much that building roads in mountains now seems crazy?

well, i found that estalia had already built three cities just over the mountains once i had built a "long road" :(

im sure this was answered before, but i cant remember. Are the elf civs getting a new starting unit? instead of building the elf spearmen straight away?

I'd like to, but I'm not sure about gfx yet.

Any ideas for stats for Flying Carpet?

Hm, but most other mages are defensive units, maybe this should be that too? :hmm:
Questioning like this helps me think, so I hope no one takes offense by me going "O rly?" all the time. ;)

But, I doubt that I'll mod any more for a while, as I'm going to France on friday, and will spend most of tomorrow packing. :wavey:

No, it's just a reference to a finnish guy, who expertised (in civ1 and civ2) in taking control of the whole world with veteran knights. He also had a signature "My words are backed with bad attitude and VETERAN KNIGHTS!"

Im confused. is the magic carpet going to be a flying unit or a mage unit? or a special hybrid of the two?
We'll see, that's why we're discussing it.

My French sucks, I'll have to get by with Swedish and English.
