Unfortunately I can´t simulate the Chryssalid´s ability to plant Alien" eggs" into your agents, so he will only attack in this way shown here... ;)

Have you given up the idea of spaceship style cities, as in the image in the first post? I see other types of cities in some later screenshots........
 
Yes, I´ll not use them, despite they´re nice. The current bases fit better to the type of scn I´m doing (near future, playing on earth). Maybe I include those vehicles as advanced units for the X-COM ;)

Early model for personal armor (modified from the second generation soldier). It is not finished yet, so it´s open for suggestions...;)

Well, it is really hard to say at the moment, because my amount of free time changes a lot. This week it was quite ok, but the weeks before I couldn´t do much for the mod. So generally I hope to finish it before summer, but it may a bit earlier or, in the worst case, a bit later...;)

I´m not sure if I should change the size of the Alien battleship, the biggest ufo in the game (look on the pic), because more of this units interfere with eachother when displayed in the same time, in the same location....

The unit is currently planned as sea unit. I could avoid the trouble if i use this as a bomber-type air unit, but a) it is not sure if the AI uses it often) and b) there are some nice anims I cannot use with air units (fidget, victory) so they would be wasted.

I could of course also redo it at a smaller scale, but then it wouldn´t look so impressive.

I've been following the postings for a while now and just felt I had to comment on this.
The UFO's look amazing. I don't think you need to make them any smaller. The over-lapping shadows beneath them gives an impression of different heights, as Piernik said.
Keep up the great work, really looking forward to playing it!
 
Ok, then I´ll stay with this size :)

Here´s a little preview of what I´ve done last weekend ... the Snakeman (one of my favourites). Took me a lot of time to get it, I trashed two older attempts, because I was not satisfied with them. This one here will be used in the mod :)

Your models and animations are really good!
About the animation why does the snakes head turn around after it landed on the floor? That looks a bit unnatural (I know it is alien but you get the idea). Maybe you should try to make some body parts bounce off the ground. This really improves your animation, I do this a lot.
