What are all those little buttons?

For the life of me, I can't figure it out or find any info. Apologies if I missed something obvious.
What the heck are all those little toggle buttons across the top edge of the unit action box? I don't notice anything change when I mess with them...

leave the mouse on them and a description for them will appear.
E.G. some order units in a stack vertically and by type. Some will show only spellcasting units, etc.

Nay I get no tool-tips, pop-ups, etc., no matter how long I hover the mouse over them. I play with a few friends who all seem to have the same problem. We all downloaded and installed recently... version '2021' I believe.
A bug perhaps?

I figured some of them were troop related as you described, but they're not obvious. When you have a moment, would you be kind enough to fill me in?

That was fixed in one of the patches. You will want to download and apply patch "f".

1st -> View units in "Standart" format.
2nd -> View units in "Multiline" format.
3rd -> View units sorted vertically.
4th -> View units sorted horizontally.

5th (red cross) -> Don't display wounded units.
6th (green cross) -> Don't display full health units.

7th (sword icon) -> Display only spellcasting and summoned units.
8th (star icon) -> Don't display spellcasting units.
9th (fire icon) -> Don't display summoned units.

10th (house icon) -> Don't display domestic units
11th (shield icon) -> Don't display military units

12th (green flag) -> Don't display units you own.
13th (red flag) -> Don't display units other players own.

14th -> Select units by type.
15th -> Select untis by group.

16th -> Select units avaiable for promotion.
17th -> Select units avaiable for upgrade.
18th -> Select units with castable spells/abilities

I think some of these should be changed, for example the house icon should show only the domestic units, while the shield only the military (unless I'm mistaken, they do the inverse, the house shows military and the shield shows domestic)

Fie... I think I confused myself, and I thought the patch was for version 0.20, not 0.21

When the popup for them gets stuck for me I can unstick it by just mousing over the buttons again.
