Mine would have to be Mongolia (best by far), Siam, and America. Mexico and Russia are also close contenders. What do you think?

Maya, Inka and Mexico. Fortunately that's also the sequence of civs I plan to play in my first game.

Momentarily, it's probably Maurya, Mongolia and Meiji (lot of Ms, huh).

Maurya sounds powerful and spiritual, and I like the idea of it combining Buddhist, Hindu and Jain chants to convey the great religious diversity of India.

Mongolia is just beautiful. Very peaceful and evocative of the vast Mongolian plains.

Meiji because its arrangement suits Japan perfectly - a combination of traditional Japanese and Western instrumentation, certain majesty in its mesured orchestration, and the militaristic part portrays Japan's expansionist ambitions that came following the restoration well. Plus I like darker themes, so the Meiji theme sounding ominous suits my tastes.

As three is a bit restrictive though, I'd like to give some further honourable mentions of themes I particularly like:
- Han - sounds pleasant both slow and fast. I especially like the metallic instrument prevalent throughout the theme.
- Normans - beautifully lively, and that joyful brass is delightful. I imagine a rich court when hearing it.
- Spain - once again, beautifully lively and pleasant to listen. A este sol peregrino was a brilliantly chosen inspiration.
- Chola - strangely catchy, and I like how the flute fluctuates as much as the songstresses' voices do.
- Qing - the slow instrumentation gives it especially majestic vibes. Gives me the feelings of an audience before the emperor.
- Mexico - this one is simply fun to listen. Joyful, lively and keeps a strong Mexican flair throughout.
- Siam - finds a decent balance between quieter parts and grandeur, and like Meiji, it's another theme which the combination of Western and traditional instruments suits well, for historical reasons. The drums around the middle give me goosebumps.

Ming, Mississippians, and Maya; Maya would be replaced by Shawnee if we counted them.

Pleasantly surprised to see Russia's theme is so popular despite it getting a lot of hate from the community when it first dropped

I'm baffled by the Mississippian theme not getting more love. :(

I voted for Rome, Siam, and Meiji, though I want to call out Mississippian and Songhai as honorable mentions! Siam in particular is just beautiful... an easy first place. I've been considering them for my first game solely for that purpose.

Ngl I don't understand the Meiji hype.
