What civ will you play as first?

I'd like to see what the general view is on the first Civ you will play as upon release.

First one that comes from random civilization. I like to play at random.

India. A 3, maybe 4-city empire aiming for cultural victory.

And the game after, Aztecs. A 30, maybe 40-city empire aiming for cultural victory.

I almost always play first either as Rome or France...although I'll need to get the Deluxe version to revisit my days of playing Civ 1 in the computer lab at my high school during lunch. Back then, I first played as Hammurabi on Earth maps. In any case, I always lost, since I had no idea what I was doing. I built one city and filled up the Arabian Peninsula with mines (even though it was outside my city's reach). I had a little better luck with my second civ, the Aztecs - I'd have both north and south America to myself until the AI could cross oceans!

Since neither Portugal or Spain are in the game my first games will be as Rome - England Songhai by this order

India. Pretty straightforward strategy so I can use the first game to get a feel for the balance rather than having to think too much about strategy. After that probably Germany or Aztecs, and I intend to leave the civs with the less straightforward abilities and late UUs like the USA and Russia until last.

ROME!!!!! First civilization that I have played in every game since Civ2, I'm not gonna stop the tradition now!

On a related note, I am actually really excited to play them. I think they have a good unique ability plus 2 unique units in the same age spells doom for anyone close to me!

I haven't given it much thought. I won't be able to play some of the ones I wanted, so I'm leaning toward Iroquois, as I'm happy to have them back.
