You forgot to mention that's where Lord of the Rings was filmed. Not to mention Zena the Warrior Princess and The Legendary Adventures of Hercules.

Romania? Wut?

Even a Hungarian will admit the Romanians have done much for the world.

They helped defend Europe from the Turks.
Gave the world Vlad Tempes.
Turned Wallachia into Romania
Helped advance Eastern europe War tactics
Also Romania is kinda a unique country in the respect that it has been a Monarchy,Soviet Country,a dictatorship(80s romania) and then Democracy all in one century....

But for the majority of you Western European/WestEuroCentric people you will know Romania from the movie Borat....

yes the whole Kazahk scenes in the movie were filmed in Romania...what you didn't know that either....shoot I bet you can't even find Romania on a map....

What did Romania do for the world, though? you only listed what they did for Europe.

Well if Europe was over ran by the Turks then there would never have been an Enlightment or French Revolution....

but your right in some respects because its tough to say what the islamification of Europe would have brought...

The Ottoman Empire didn't have the resources to "overrun Europe". Even if they did, it wasn't because of the Romanians that they failed to do so.

I never said it was just Romania that defended Europe.Sure France.Vatican,Germany sent small amount of troops, but it was ultimately Hungary,Romania,Czechs,Croats,Bulgar,Serbs and Greeks that kept Europe safe....

Sure Western Europe Fought, but who made the bigger sacrifices?

Its all in the populations of the respected countries....Western Europe is over populated and Eastern Europe has a really little amount of population compared to West....You can't be a global or even a regional power if you don't have the population...

but then again the majority of this is speculation....also why was the Turks attacking Europe if they didn't wish to expend?....seems foolish to me...

Spain, the Netherlands, Byzantium, Mongols, Inca, Tupi, and Denmark or Sweden. I think that Denmark is the better representation of Viking-era Scandinavia, and arguably Scandinavia in general (Leading the Kalmar Union and what not.). It was also a major power up to the Thirty Year's War, but Sweden has an obvious leader (Gustavus Adolphus), is more well-known, and was arguably more important during the height of its power. Personally, I'd prefer Denmark, but either one (or a united Scandinavia) would be good.

Demark is sooooo boring though :( Sweden, maybe, but I don't think they have enough cities to make a complete list. Just Vikings is good.
