What did you do when banned?

From what I can tell, a lot of people have been banned at some point or other - if that is you:-

1. What did you get up to during your ban?

2. Did you just ignore Civ-related stuff for the length of it? Or did you post on Apolyton instead?

3. When you were allowed back did you watch what you said? (ie did you learn from your errors?)

Just wondering...is there anyone on THIS site who is here because they were banned by Apolyton?

BTW - I'm not glorifying being banned, just curious (uh-oh, dont ban ME and say - "now you can find out all for yourself" )

I spent my 3 days off playing Civ and drawing cartoons...

Also I brooded on my downfall.

It made me re-avaluate my posting style on CFC.
I feel my banning made realise I was being out of line.

I must have learnt from my mistakes since I was only banned once. Although it was for a WHOLE week...I basically posted on another forum, and played games instead.

I supposed had I ever been banned, I would actually manage to get on with Real Life for a little while.

But of course, had never been banned although had been warned once or twice during my earlier days.

Never been banned, never even close. I've only ever been "advised" once, by Lefty. It was minor enough that he probably doesn't even rembember having done it.

If I ever were banned, I'd find other things to do. I lived a long time before I found CFC, so I doubt a ban would be the end of my existence.

Curt - The equality part was actually thought up by someone else...I can't remember who right now.

Dell19 - Wow, ancient history I didn't even remember that...still don't.

Switch625 - If I only have to warn people a few times then never have a problem with them again, then I don't remember warning them at all.

I got banned for starting a One word Story. It was the second one I started. However I never actually had a warning about the first one and it had died out because no one was really interested so awhile later I started a second one. Then I was banned, and lost 10% of my post count, so I lost about 20 posts...Some others were also punished for posting in the thread. Quite soon afterwards the Peanut Gallery was created...

I got banned first time:

Telling the world a thread was spam by making a post with spamspamspamspam etc so spam was written 800 times.

I was given a week off to learn I'm not the law west of the river Jordan...yet!


Second time was I told CornMaster off in a thread in which he was in my opinion plain wrong. He banned me, TF unbanned me.


Since then I've been a good little kitten

I never knew you had been banned This is why I would like to see a history of bannings as some of them could be funny like this one.

I've never been banned and don't plan to be banned in the future but if it happens I have a real-life too so I won't be bored and I'll definately won't start posting at apolyton, maybe I would post more often at gamecatcher though.
