We've been running the Gauntlet competition as a sub-competition of the HOF for nearly a month now, and it would be nice to get some feedback about what you, the HOF users, think about it.

I've really enjoyed this. :goodjob:

Because of the Gauntlets I've played for some victory type/map size combinations that I would not have otherwise attempted. I tend to go for the more peaceful options more often than not so the domination/conquest games so far have been a good change of pace for me. It'll be good to do something different soon though-variety is the spice of life and all that-so perhaps some sort of loose rota on the different victory conditions could be useful. Then again it is possibly too early to say at the moment so I would be quite happy for staff to use their judgement as they see fit.

I've enjoyed the discussions that have gone with this as well. Discussion of tactics and frequent leader updates help to push my sights higher. At the moment though I just need to find more hours in the day.

I think y'all came up with some good ideas here! :goodjob: :goodjob:

My only suggestion would be to pick a Table with few or no entries........just hate to see "Empty" Tables in the HOF! ;)

Thanks for the feedback Tone/EMan. Other victory conditions are a good idea, though some might not be feasible in G-Minor due to the amount of time they take to play. Unfortunately there aren't all that many empty tables for the "quick" victory conditions of domination/conquest.

I agree with EMan.

I'd say just hand-pick the difficulty, size and victory condition instead of voting. Say there's a Emp and Regent empty table, but probably Monarch will be chosen, which is possibly full.

We could let you vote, then ignore you and pick an empty table :mischief:.
Now, that's more in the "Spirit" of the HOF........you've got my vote.........which I EXPECT you to ignore. ;)

Actually, most HOF decisions are decided democratically. You just have to remember that only Dianthus, myself and Mistfit's votes really count... :D

Progress Indeed!!.............The Voting Pool has increased 3-fold!...........assuming Dianthus & Mistfit get equal votes! :mischief:

I'd vote it's good now, but you guys are out of my league. I don't think I be brave enough to try any gauntleting any time soon.

Practice makes perfect though, and participating in them can prove very educational. ;)
