What doe the yellow circle mean?

When I become rich and somewhat militarily powerful I get a yellow circle on my 'stats' sqaure I suppose it would be called - the place where it tells you what year it is and so forth...

Does that yellow circle mean that you are a superpower or the world or something? - I have never been able to figure out what it means...

Anyone know?

That's the Global warming warning, it indicates that you could be suffering climate change and lose some forrests or grasslands.

It's not much of a problem until the circle goes orange, or red.

Ahh - That would explain why it only shows up later on in the game

I always thought that meant that I was a superpower, ah well there goes my ego lol...

A superpower "indicator" would be a nice thing for CIV I think.. as long as you have an intelligence agency perhaps.
