What happened to IG3?!

A while back I played an amazing demo of a game Philos Labs was just finishing up called Imperium Galactica 3 (not actually a sequel to the other IGs). It was ready to go when their publisher, CDV, decided the game needed multiplayer. Oddly they bring in another developer to *help* Philos add a multiplayer mode. *time passes*

Now IG3 and Philos have fallen off the face of the earth! *time passes*

Amazingly, Mithis games has now announced their new game Galaxy Andromeda. It was weird looking through the site. I kept getting this odd sense of familiarity. The game looks so good and, ummm, really familiar. No mention of any kind of production history on this surprisingly polished game (considering it has just been announced).

Doesn't it look gorgeous?

You'll have to check out the website for more information since I'm feeling a bit sick to my stomach and will have to wrap this post up.

Perhaps they didn't want people to associate it with the first 2 IG games, since it is nothing like them...

zulu9812, the name change doesn't bother me. It's Mithis' announcement of their new game with no credit to Philos Labs, the company that actually made this game.

Apparently CDV fully owns this creation or they couldn't have done this, but it's still slimy.
