I hope for the love of God they update the AI.
Enough of these chain denouncements. Enough of a ******** random AI. I think they need actual treaties. I.e Alliance, Trade and Defensive Pacts. These can not be broken. Once you are in good with an AI player it will stay that way until you do something stupid, like attack them. Make the trade a little more fair. Lets say I want 10 iron, it should be worth at least one luxury item and maybe 100 gold or something.
Also allow a mediating system to bring peace between two neighbors. Offer incentives for staying at peace.
Obviously new units. I would like to see more naval units like a WW2 battleship. Iron clad need to be able to cross water. They are just ******** the way they are now. For ships they need to go Trireme > Caravel > Frigate > Iron clad > Pennsylvania Class Battleship > Iowa class Battleship. Each more powerful then the last. More unique units. Maybe one per era or something. USA Gets Navy Seals, Minuteman and B-52's. England gets Long bowman, Ship of the line and the SAS. Arabia should get the camel archer, jihadist and scuds or something. I think 3 per race is fair.
Bring religion back. That is a given.
Bring government back, but also keep the policy system which adapts to your government type. For example Republics and Democracies will have the Freedom, Commerce and Liberty tree's. Communism and Dictatorships will have Order and Autocracy. Monarchies and Theocracies would have Piety and Tradition. Honor, Rationalism and Patronage could be for all government types.
These are just some thoughts. Feel free to add and deduct as you think.
