What internet explorer do you use?

Firefox.

Opera if things go down with Firefox, which is rare. I don't usually use Opera because i was introduced to Firefox first, and i dun wanna haveta learn how to use Opera, too much work.

And Internet Exploder sucks. First, tabs are the greatest thing since sliced bread. i dunno how one could live without them. Second, Exploder always gets popups, and getting blockers and things is a pain in the ass. Third, spyware from IE. Fourth, i found IE very crash-prone. Firefox is very stable.

Firefox, although the only reason I use it over IE is that it crashes less than IE. I haven't really had a problem with popups (after installing SP2) and spyware when using IE so I don't know what this other people are talking about

i agree firefox is vastly superior to IE. I use both at home and at work... any computer that leave my lil "shop" has firefox on it.. If im doing anything on it I need firefox... the only thing i need IE for is to do windows update..the rest is Firefox.

I wish you all good luck with ActiveX, Windows-Update and other website that only work with MS Internet Explorer.

How can one be so shallow and naive!

Of course has Firefox its merits, but this ignorant, one-sided talk reminds me of people who found great value in the Flash iPod.

Firefox. I like the tabs...

And the Translation Panel I have comes in handy.

See, that's why we leave IE installed anyway (heck, according to Microsoft it can't be uninstalled in any case). But if it is a question of having one choice, or having two, who wouldn't prefer two?

Good riddance to ActiveX. Windows Update is the only site I can think of that actually needs something like ActiveX. Most others are either superfluous or malevolent.

The only website that I've ever run into that aboslutely refused to run in anything other than IE was Windows Update, for obvious reasons. Frankly, I don't understand the big issue with people complaining about sites not working in other browsers... then again, that's just my experience. I'm sure there are naive people who block non-IE browsers, but I've never seen one.

How is saying that one prefers one browser over another ignorant? It is merely stating one's opinions, much as you stated that you prefer Internet Explorer. I certainly wouldn't call you ignorant for stating that you prefer IE; you're just expressing your opinion.

Oh, ActiveX is just there to help Microsoft EEE.

I use Firefox 1.0 with slackware Linux, and IE on windows, presently. I plan to change to Firefox on Windows, but I rarely use it so I haven't had the chance. I have never had any compatibility issues while using Firefox.

First off, arguing that you can only use IE for some sites is foolish, for there's this extension called IE Viewer. It opens webpages that won't open in Firefox in IE.

Tabs are awesome. I can't go back. And mouse gestures are the only true sign of the existence of god that I can see. I don't know if you can get Mouse gestures on IE, but now that I have mouse gestures going to IE feels so...primitive.

Firefox also has built in popup blocking, and extensions for ad blocking, and tons of other cool stuff, not to mention themes and the inclusion of a javascript console. And IE doesn't work on Linux.

The security is cool too.

I use the AOL borwser, which is nothing more then a mask over IE. However for some of my web surfing I use Mozilla.

IE with heavy security settings and filters for windowsupdate and banking

Mozilla suite for most browser tasks, and Firefox.

Im officially a FF baby now. Just the tabs and the autocopy alone are worth making the switch for. No active x is a biggy too. As I continue to explore its features Im sure I'll love it even more.

Exactly. Install Firefox (or Opera if you prefer) and give it a whirl. It cant harm to try, and you can compare the performance/features on your own system.

Does Firefox come with it's own built in DL manager or is that just mozilla?
You add it as an extension if you want it.

I use Opera.
Should be obvious from my signature...heh.
