Hey guys,

I'm playing a game of colonization with the age of discovery II mod and going for the 100,000 units traded victory condition.

Anyway, my question is to you vets out there, what is the easiest way to automate trade with europe?

The automated wagon trains are doable if a bit clunky but I cannot figure out a good way to get my goods to europe other than manually loading up shits with the finished goods. Is there an easier way to do this? It's really taking the fun for me out of the game micromanaging a massive amount of exports.

I understand you can automate the ships on auto trade route but what ends up happening is the load up some garbage from one of my coastal cities and then try to take it to the other coastal city since it has import x, y, and z manufactured good to pull from my other cities.

Hopefully this makes sense. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

For Vanilla, don't know about the mod.

I think you need to use the Assign Trade Route button rather than Automate Trade button.

Then you can limit your ship to export only the goods you want to Europe and only from the Ports you want. However it still has limitations - it will automatically export goods to Europe, but you will have to return it manually. Also if you load any units or buy any goods in Europe to bring back to the New World the automated routing instructions are removed - it's just a manual vessel again.
