I'm playing as Egyptians, Monarch, Large Contintents map. Started on a nice big island. Took out the English early on and everyone has been furious or annoyed with me for thousands of years. Finally, people are starting to come around, but Militaristic nations are still furious, while the non-Militaristic nations have been bribed up to Polite. First, is there any connection between the Militaristic trait and the attitude of the civ? OR, is it perhaps that because they are militaristic they will produce more military units, have a larger army, and thus act more arrogantly? I always love when my military advisor says, "compared to these guys, our military is weak" when I have 50 modern units and he has 80 ancient units.
So anyway, some civilizations are just plain annoying, usually the militaristic ones. I find that while starting next to Germany or Aztecka (is that right?) is a bit of a pain, it's so much more satisfying when I finally trounce them later on. It's funny how in order to get a real sense of satisfaction there has to be a real challenge. So, which Civilization do you think is the most annoying to play against?
