I am currently a Research Assisatant (means I get paid for my Ph.D. work) at one of the most prestigious (yes, we were great once, but today they take the likes of me  ) Institutes for Geology and Paleontology in the world. I am a vertebrate paleontologist, specializing in computer modelling of dinsoaur locomotion.

Do you know Spencer Lucas from NM?

Yep. I am 1/5th of the staff that mans the 24/7/365 energy management office. We diagnose, troubleshoot, and dispatch all manner of HVAC breakdowns, schedule equipment preventive maintenance, schedule HVAC cooling and heating cycles to save energy, and monitor temp, humidity, and even CO or CO2 levels, plus monitor and control fume hoods for labs, run lights in several buildings, etc...

But it's a lot cooler-sounding to say I keep college coeds warm at night, don't you think?

I believe you may have the perfect nerd-identification question right there.

For the record I go with the "keeping co-eds warm" option.

I have a Religion degree and MBA and have managed catalogs and direct mail programs for many years. Currently, I am VP of Marketing for VR Software company.

I am still in high school but starting this September, it will be my last year before college/university. I build computers for local businesses now and then or fix computers and stuff like that. I'm trying to apply for some kind of job this school year though.

What do you mean you "did a burn out, got money from insurance"?
So you would advice us young folks to buy a house instead of renting an apartment?

You never feared getting caught with all the "green gold" or getting to deep into criminal circals? Just wondering is all.

@ Homie

So you're an anti-lefty then eh?

Good to hear.

Lefties shouldn't be posting in this thread because who cares what job they have (or which social welfare system they are screwing).

In the USSR, a doctor earned the same as a factory worker. What a load of shíte.

A burn out is a depression in medical term, so you got sickness compensation, which was 90% of my net salary.

I dont advice anything.

I got caught, i dont care, 2 day prison, 9 month asign at home ( playing civ 3 and half-life), no fine , 150 hour community work. Compare to slave work in muiltinational its nothing, i will choose prison anytime over factory work, even as laboratory technicien.

You need good contact, but the ''green gold world'' is non-violent, it is not like mafia.

When i saw our political man sucking my salary and getting pension found 80 000 $ per year after only 8 year of work, or president and boss having salary in the range of several hundred thousand and even million $ per year, and me getting 20 000$ to solve their problem, i wasnt anymore able to sustain their regime, neither their authority, neither their bi-annual evaluation. No :gripe: [pissed] boss will put a lesh on me again, i am a free spirit and i dont submish myself anymore to those :whipped: .

So it give nothing for you to call FBI and denounce me, i already did my time.

Sweeny Todd - I find that it's the right-wingers who have the cushion of a comfortable background (and family wealth) who are the least likely to work. You just sound a little frustrated with all your trolling- does anyone here work as a therapist?.

As for myself, I've just turned my back on teaching (waaaaay to stressful, and my behaviour management didn't cut it), and (the irony) am now working as a librarian (though with books rather than units this time).

That has got to be one cool job! The stuff I do is mostly static, with only the camera (and occasionally lights) moving to create a walk-through presentation. I'd kill to have a chance to learn animating living creatures.

that's what I'd have said until i actually got the job.
Now I lose sleep trying to get it to work - and it proves more and more difficult each day!
