What kind of Music are you listening while playing game

Only listening to in-game music, all the time. I do not really care about what's going on in the background, Civ V music seems pretty neutral and fine to me.

If by "songs that play out entirely now" you mean the background songs that's true, but the peace themes of other leaders in the game do fade out as soon as you exit the leaderscreen. Only on the start of the game and reloads do you hear your own civ's peace theme. :(

Well, choices have to be made. If they were to play a leader's song entirely whenever the diplo screen came up, we'd hardly hear anything else.

But yeah, it's totally possible and very easy to just load up all the music from the game in an audio player and listen to it that way.

Sufi Music without instruments

Lyrics

Ask neyledi

burning, burning, i drift and tread
love spattered my body with blood
i' m not in my senses nor mad
come, see what love has done to me

now and then like the winds i blow
now and then like the roads i go
now and then like the floods i flow
come, see what love has done to me

searching, i room from land to land
in all tonques i ask for the friend
who knows my plight where love is
come, see what love has done to me

lovelorn, i tread; madly i scream
my loveed one is my only dream
i wake and plunge into deep gloom
come, and see what love has done to me

i' m yunus mystic of sorrow
suffering wounds from top to toe
in the friend' s hands i wrtihe in woe
come, see what love has done to me

The Indonesian music is SOOO good, I would play that civ every game to hear their awesome music. It just has the coolest instruments and has awesome build up.

Poland's and Morocco's are also really cool, but man, I couldn't imagine listening to anything other than the in-game music.

Sure, but there has to be a way for a foreign leader's theme to at least play out fully once, imo. Or for your civ's peace theme to periodically play (a good time would be at the start of each new era).

Right now the issue is that we "hardly hear anything else" other than the neutral background music, which isn't the original music from the game anyway. The way I see it, it's certainly possible to shift the music at least slightly more in the direction of the original music rather than the licensed background music, most of which isn't all that great anyway (though I like the Native American background music generally).

And right, it's possible to load up an audio player...but then the audio doesn't match up with what you see in the game. For example, Alexander's peace theme might be playing while you're talking to Wu. :(

Usually stuff like System of a Down, Celtic Folk, or Russian Rap. ya...

Thanks. Anyone got some good Asian modern music that sounds instrumental more than pop? :)

I really wish when you got a Great Musician they would play the whole work properly and not some sad snippet of an instrumental version. Especially for people like Machaut and Palestrina.

I like Civ V's own in-game music, it's very unobtrusive. I occasionally have some classical instead, though.

Mostly play in silence, because I am boring... That and my laptop burns battery quicker than it recharges, so I conserve battery and turn the sound off. I only turn the music on and listen to the ingame music when I meet a civ for the first time, when I start a new game (I like the first few minutes with sound), at the start of wars so I can hear 1 or two civ specific far themes in the most important parts of the war, but once it swaps to the generic war themes I turn it off.
