What Mods Do You Use With CPP-CBP?

Hello Civ Fanatics!

So I've been lurking around the CPP forum for the last few months impressed by the constant updates and feedback present. The latest version seemed solid, convincing me to reinstall Civ 5, and for the first time... the CPP mod with CBP, Civ 4 DF, CSD for CBP, EUI, EUI CF, and More Luxuries. I then used the forum member - Zeta's mod list to compile other mods, minus a few, into a working (as far as i know), collection. They are as follows:

-CBPMC More Luxury
-City Limits
-Civ Names by Policies
-Civilization Selection Bonus Tooltips
-InfoAddict
-Ingame Editor
-Maps - Rotate Start Position
-R.E.D. Modpack
-Really Advanced Setup
-Reforestation
-RemoveBanLuxury
-Terrain - Brazilwood Camp Extension
-Terrain - Chateau Extension
-Terrain - Kasbah Extension
-Terrain - Moai Extension
-Terrain - Polder Extension
-Terrain - Terrace Farm Extension
-Thal´s FlagPromotions-CPP Version
-UI - Diary
-UI - Improved City Banner
-UI - Religion Spread
-Unit Path Viewer

I'am curious what mod lists other forum members have (especially modders and long time players) and if they recommend adding or subtracting mods on my list? What are other's thoughts on AnC-Flavours v.9 or other personal favorites?

If anyone sees any issues, major or minor, that might arise such as with balance, conflicts, obsolete mods or just personal preference, Please Let Me Know! Zeta went with no EUI. I would like to add as many mods as possible while staying as close to (the prestigious) Gazebo's vision for CPP-CBP as possible. I've been to the Compatible Mods thread so i believe I'am good to go. Further... do I have to check/activate them in any specific order?

Issues I've come across is that: CBPMC More Luxury does not check/activate. (I don't see why i even need this, isn't More luxuries already compatible). Also when i mouse over the icons of Wonders or certain buildings the description does not pop up, just a message with a directory path and such. This was prevalent with both a manual and auto install, so perhaps this is intentional. Right clicking works. I think i read a past post that mentions something similar.

Having lots of fun so far. Falling behind other Civs steadily, I have it on Prince. According to posts I've read, Settler is the new normal, might have to restart. Much more refined experience compared to vanilla. Truly a feat of great magnitude! To all those involved, Thank You for your Service to Others!
 
Currently, nothing actually. Kinda checking if there is a compatibility problem causing CTDs.
I used to run Flag promotions, Random city names, infoaddict and Rotate start position.
 
I used to have Events & Decisions and Exploration Continued Expanded, but I've had some CTDs the past couple weeks trying to use those, quite unfortunately. I kind of feel like several of JFD's mods are part of the package personally.

Info Addict might cause some crashes, especially when saving/ loading/ going to the main menu.
you can find a possible solution here!
let me know if your game runs stable with this, otherwise there is another approach you could try.

My CTDs were during AI turns, after they offered a deal, so not really that thing you're talking of. Still I do crash when trying to go to the main menu from the game as well(although it doesn't really bother me much) so I'll try your thing out. Thanks.


I also discovered after taking all mods away one by one that those AI deal CTDs are still present even without mods, so now I tried wiping civ5 clean and do a reinstall instead. Probably won't help, but whatever.


EDIT: Damn that post you linked is old, haven't infoaddict been updated since that? Infoaddict needs a Gazebo.
 
The Deal-Offer-CTDs seem to be related to the latest version of CP, so don't worry if any of your other mods might be causing these specific crashes. :)

I don't like info-addict because I feel it give's too much information, but Global Relations gives just enough.

I've also had problems with both E&D and Exploration Continued Expanded in the past, so I tend to avoid those. I would like for them to be a seamless experience, but the CBP already offers so much, so we can't complain.

The worst culprit for crash's that I ever had was civ-linked great generals. It caused an instacrash with the CBP

None of my current mods seem to cause any crashes for me.

I'm pretty convinced of that myself, but G asked me to try it out, so that's what I'm doing.

Yeah, Info Addict haven't got any updates for a very long time now, and there won't be any in the future I think.. :undecide:

It's supposedly used along with the CBPMC because it requires a dependency on the mod... not sure how you would get the CBPMC More Luxury without the CBPMC.

Ya, I've done some research and realized this. Since then I've added more mods to my collection, such as your mod and those supported. Do you have any insight on the description not showing up for wonders or buildings when mousing over the icons?

Lack of EUI or deleting LUA folders when EUI isn't installed for the non-EUI?

If not, then

sounds like something that could break things when used in conjunction with EUI. ;)

I'am having the problem with the description/tooltip even without other mods besides CPP-CBP-EUI. It said:

'GetPovertyHappinessChangeBuilding' (a nil
value)

I then vertified game cashe, uninstalled Civ5, erased all files in the main directory and Documents (besides the MOD folder). Then reinstalled Civ 5, auto installed CPP-CBP-EUI. Now I get in the tooltip:

1121-attempt to call field
'GetPovertyHappinessChangeBuilding' (a nil value)

EUI is included in the auto installer, right?

Are you sure you're using the right EUI? it seems to be referencing something that isn't there.
