What PC game are you most looking forward to in 2006

1) Galactic Civs II
2) The Elder Scrolls IV
3) Medieval Total War 2
4) Swat 4 expansion

These are just a few. In 2006 there will be many great new games coming out!

Spore
Rise of Legends
Oblivion
Neverwinter Nights 2
Guild Wars: Factions
Company of Heroes
HL2: Episode One
And maybe Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Hellgate London

Man thats alot... Wonder if I will have the time to play all of them.

Oblivion, Galactic Civilizations, Duke Nukem Forever, Medieval total war 2

A bit late for a couple of these titles, but they are 2006 releases that I've already purchased.

SW:EAW - Got it. Big disappointment.

GalCiv2 - Got it. TBS of the year!

LotR:BFME2 - Looks great, and I particularly like the customisable heroes. Should have it by week's end.

HoMM5 - Hopefully will wipe away the memory of 4.

MTW2 - It just has to be better than Rome.

Is there an EU3 coming out this year? I heard there was somewhere....

And GalCiv2, but I already got it. :p

In that whole list how can you possibly leave out Medieval 2 total war???

Medieval 2: Total War, though the "turn system" and Aztec kinda turn me off.
Elder Scrolls 4
Football Manager 2007
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

er...have you ever played any of the other total war games? then you'd know that the gameplay is tbs with the battles in rts. Why the heck would the aztecs turn you off? I think that is quite possibly one of the coolest new features.

Sorry if confuses you. The "turn system" I meant was that CA planned to eliminate dates in the game. So instead of having, say "summer 1220" for a turn, they impliment turn 1-225, with no dates informing the players of what era they are suppose to be in.

Been playing since the MTW days. What's Aztec's got to do with Medieval Europe? What's the fun in tens of thousands Aztec warriors getting annihilated by a few hundreds technologically superior europeans? :crazyeye:

In all honesty I'm just being cautious with the direction that CA took these days by dumbing down the game, and adding "cool features" to sell to those RTS crowds. (Heck, they even planning to add "finishing moves" now). I don't mind if they are trying to keep the game simple to attract new audiences, but at least they should keep the "soul" of the TW series intact.

Just have to wait and see, sorry for the rant.

oh well i think its a brilliant idea. Its doing more to help the future of RTS gaming rather than keeping it the same. That was the mistake with AOE3. They made it too much like AOE2. Now with an even more constricting population limit of 200. Its still a very fun game, but without the new home city feature it would really have sucked. Just think if they would have added more new features! I don't want TW to take that road: The one that has a very simple aim which is to line their own pockets through selling something they know people like rather than moving on.
