Candlemass - Embracing the Styx.

Off the upcoming album. I got an... ah... promo copy, yeah. Going to buy this for sure, though, since it rules.

I got to admit that I had very mixed expectations for this album. On one hand I really like the old Candlemass but after Messiah left for the first time they lost their touch and even the self titled comeback album with Messiah wasn't too good. The fact that Messiah left the again wasn't very encouraging either. On the other hand I have great deal of respect for Rob Lowe's vocal ability and the new Solitude Aeturnus showed that he was in marvelous shape.

And yeah, as you said this album rules. Finally Leif has been able to write a bunch of songs that are on par with the classic Candlemass albums. And Lowe is absolutely perfect fit for the band.
