What the hell?

So I tried to play a game with Tokugawa going for a conquest victory, but then barbarians trampled me before I got ready. So I made another game, and I get the same map as before? The hell? I didn't load a save file, I made a game from scratch! How did the game generate the same map as before with the same resources, civs, and everything? I'm confused.

well that's pretty much a fluke. the chances of creating the exact same map as before is basically nothing. you got lucky. now you can conquer other civilizations

What mapscript did you use? Did you give a non-zero value to the map random seed in the .ini file? That would cause the same map to be generated each time.
