I was reading a lot of forum posts and noticed a lot of people post complaints or things they want to see changed.

I heard that some developers of civ 5 or 2k members read the forums So I thought why not make a discussion about what you would like to see changed in civ 5 vanilla.

And I just want to know what other people thinx is unbalanced and if it actualy is really unbalanced or just a thought?

Personally I would like to see liberty be changed and not to be the dominant choose for early social policies.

I want the autocracy bonus when you complete the entire policy to change.
Having 20% bonus fightpower for 20 turns (or something like that) isn't all that useful to me. I prefer some long term bonus for completing a late-game social policy. A permanent 5% bonus should work nice.

Aside from that, I want a religious victory in GAK.

Same things many have said before:

GS nerf (beakers instead of a free tech)
Regenerate Map option
Save advanced settings

I would also like to see a return of some type of health system, and a better 'government' system (something to work alongside policies), but these systems may best be saved for another expansion. If there is one.

1. I would like to see the AI use air and naval units better.

2. I expect decent changes in diplomacy to make things more interesting. Diplomacy should not just head off in one direction and stay there. Some strange things happen in diplomacy at the moment.

Spoiler :
One thing that happened had to do with Japan. Later in the game he declares war from his capital, his remaining city, which he was in since the classical era. So, I simply sent my troops in and destroyed him, diplo penalty or not and puppeted his city.

One change I would like to see is the abilty to get civs off the map completely. Why should we have to keep them around so they have diplomatic power over world affairs. Get rid of them and move on. With Russia and Japan (two civs I put in one remaining city) badgering Korea time and time again, caused Korea to make a foolish pact with them and DoW me. Now Korea is paying the price with their capital surrounded, and their ability to launch the spaceship and potentially win the game, gone up in smoke. So much for the AI trying to win right?

The point is things need to change.

I'd like my automated scouts to attempt to avoid barbarians instead of walking right toward them.

also to prompt before ending a turn in a city-state borders. I know it's always best not to automate, but still.

I agree the bonus for comleting autocracy should be a long term bonus.

Those 20 turn fightpower bonus should be a policy in the tree with a permament effect :

20 turn fightpower and increase military production by +15

I'll tell you the most important thing they need to ad to the game.

An ARE YOU SURE?? button after you golden age a great person. So tired of accidently losing my generals cause I have a lame mouse.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't really see the need.

It would be nice if clock mods function correctly, which I'm not sure if that's been fixed yet, though.

or,

hit the SHIFT-TAB keys to get to the STEAM window which:

dun dun dunnnnhhhh.... :trouble:

has a clock right there.

What if you play offline is it too much to ask for a simple clock on the interface? No I think not. I mean its not a necessity, but an option for a clock would be nice.

actually, it is.
Not everything 'requires' a clock, especially when the game ships on a system that provides one. If you don't use that online service and think that every other clock around you just isn't right, well, that's your problem, not 2K/Firaxis's problem.

Well, I wouldn't mind a clock either. It's nice to not have to tab out of the game to see the time.

I would like being able to change whether animations are instant or not in-game.

I would like the initial leader music (when you load the screen) to play continuously until the track ends (even if it's interrupted by music when meeting a new leader, etc). I would also like each leader's war music to play when declaring war or having war declared on them (currently, you hear the enemy's war music, rather than your own leader's, except when you load a saved game starting in the middle of a war).

I would like enemy AI to gloat and demand things (right now, only your friends demand/ask things of you).

I would like the AI to cheat less (ala Civ IV AI patch).
