What's the current commonly accepted price for PTW?

I was browsing gamestop.com and found it for $19.99...i dont know if that's the normal price now or if its a special deal, but here's the link:

(btw, i know you need the original civ3 to play ptw, but do you need the original civ3 cd to play the orignal civ3 after you install ptw or can you use the ptw cd for singl & multiplayer?)

Im pretty sure that you need the original civ3 cd to play normal civ3 but I haven't actually tried playing normal civ3 after getting PTW.

If you bought it "tomorrow" (yesterday, now )you probably already know that you need Civ3 to install PTW. Then you need the Civ3 CD to play Civ3 games, and the PTW CD to play PTW games. You probably also realize that you can play PTW as both single- and multi-player.

My friend had a bad copy of Livin' Large for the Sims. If you must know I inadverdly ruined it. I was obsessed with keeping it straight so I spun the disk around to get it straight. That led to it being scratched twenty-five times all across the bottom. His other packs (original, house party, hot date) were all good. He didn't want to have to buy it, so he decided to download Livin' Large off of the Internet and install it, then install the packs over it.

What happened was a huge disaster. The game ran slowly and Buy mode was wrecked; it was slow to place things. Eventually my friend decided to buy a new copy of the game and it worked, buying the legitimate, real copy. I guess installing the real stuff over the downloaded doesn't work well.

I'm not even sure why I'm saying this

If you don't have Civ3, buy it. Support the developers by buying the game, and they'll make Civ4 for us. I always buy my games even though some of my buddies use burned copies and cracks. When they have problems, I just laugh and tell them to buy it if they like it.

Vanilla Civ3 is good, but PTW rocks.

Oh yeah, I paid $45 CDN (each) for both Civ3 and PTW.

After you install PTW and if you want to go back to playing just Civ III you need the CD in the drive to play it, it won't play off the PTW CD.

I bought PTW for £19.99 and vanilla civ for £17.99.
had to buy a new copy of civ3 cos mine got trashed... paid £34.99 for the first one.. grr!
Anyone heard anything new about 1.21 for europe yet?

I bought it for about 30€ but it was Civ3+PTW pack because they didn't sell PTW only

IIRC there's no date set for it's release yet...

I bought my copy at the MSRP, $30 USD. Most places are selling it nowadays at $19.99, however.
