Alternative comes closest... I like classic late 60s and 70s rock, pop and r&b, 70s funk, 80s pop and metal, 90s industrial, grunge, rap and shoegazer. The newest bands that I really like are Jurassic Five, The White Stripes and Cold Play.

I'm surprised there is no "folk" music, like Irish drinking/folk/rebellion songs. Those are spectacular!

There are too many choices, so I will abstain from choosing just one. Perhaps an "Other" choice for me.

Fusion is usually considered as jazz. Jazz is far from being just swing.
