Whats with the Google ads?

I just noticed them today all the way at the bottom of the page. When did we get them? Do they make more money then the normal ones?

I don't see what's so annoying about the ads. When I browse the forum I'm always somewhere else on the screen than at the ads.

I watched it closely. It will do as you say, then I post, afterwhich all adverts read: Civ3 - even though the page is the same! (with one new on-topic post).
