It's supposed to be up to 0,5 MBits/s, but I doubt it really is that fast. Apparently they offer, for and additional $8 per month, and a very easy installation if you allready have ADSL, 20 times faster internet. It hasn't reached my town yet though.
Not using a normal modem, you get spoiled, so I could probably never go back to 56K.
My university has 3 T1 running in(~12,000 people), my college house as .5M cable, but my real home is still at 33k, but acts like 24.4. Absolutely crawls.
"Wireless" SBC DSL. According to my connection thing I'm going 11.0 Mbps, although it feels like a 56k. And the wireless thing only has a range of ten feet before it really does become like a 56k, so not too useful there either.
11Mbps is the speed of the wireless network to the outward DSL connection, not the speed of the DSL.
The speed of your DSL is probably at the 1Mbit range (since you said it feels like 56k, maybe less).

Makes sense. I think my bandwidth download speed is 700-so kbps. Back a few months ago when there was that giant power outage in the East Coast, my internet connection really did feel like a 56k, but it's been getting better gradually.
