Down with endangered parrots and fluffy kittens.

A chore wouldn't be a chore if you liked it so it seems a strange questions to me.

I would have to pick ironing, as I dislike it, but it can be a good excuse for watching sports. Sunday afternoon doing the ironing and oh by some strange coincidence the grand prix is on.

Otherwise walking the dog, which is nice unless it is raining.

Before I was a father, I insisted we try cloth diapers. The aunties bought us a month's free diaper service, but I was willing to wash diapers myself.

No more.

I really don't care how many trees I have to kill for the convenience of disposables. I wouldn't change my mind if throw-aways were made of endangered parrot chick down and fluffy kittens.

Yeah we did a diaper svs with our first, and felt good about it, but the 2nd one gets the good ol throw aways. She is moving towards the potty. I dont know how my mom raised so many infants using cloth.

BTW I do have some chores
I bring in firewood, take out the ashes, shovel the snow, burn the papers, sort the recycling, take out the compost, deal with the garbage. Wife always has a nice collection of stuff on the porch for me to deal with after I get done fussing over the kids when I get home. I guess I do about half of the supper dishes while she puts the little ones to bed. Weekends I do a bit of cooking(grilling)

Plus I skin the game, gut or fillet the fish, make the jerkey, clean the rain spouts, change the oil, tend the garden and all that hammer and nail guy stuff.

I still hate mowing the lawn!!!!! but refuse to get a rider. call me old fashioned, but I push mow and compost the clippings

you are speaking wise words there sultan. after one year as student i have learn to wash the pans before eating and the bowls and cutlery after eating. the burden is lesser that way.

the laundry on the other hand is always a big tiring project. it's almost better to buy new clothes than wash the old ones. :(

btw, nice to see daler in this thread.;)
