Personally, I say Mary Ann. :)

I don't think too many people will dispute Mary Ann. Except I understand the ladies love the Professor, which why I am one... ;)

Mary An is great! (and attractive) But I'll go with the professor, he can make anything out of coconuts

Yeah, the chicks dig professors.

No avoiding the Mary Ann vote for me.

Wow, so far the two characters would were pushed furthest back in the credits are the only ones getting votes.

I'm suprised nobody voted for Gilligan!

So far back that in the first few black and white seasons, instead of saying their names, the theme song went "The movie star, and the rest... here on Gilligan's isle!"

I know. Actually, it was Gilligan who conviced the network to change that.

Bloody good question.

It's about Gilligan's Isle! What did you think? Global Warming?

Gilligan of course! Has anyone ever heard that the show was an respecation of hell. All the castaways were examples of the seven deadly sins, exept for Gilligan. He was the Devil because he wore red and it was his island.

You are so weird. :crazyeye:

Sherwood Shwartz (the creator) said they symbolize the parts of the American culture. Skipper is the working middle class. Ginger is a celebrity. Mary Ann is a country girl. Professor is the smart researchers and teachers. And the Millionare/Wife were the upper high rich class.

What the hell is this thread about?
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,
aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day,
for a three hour tour, a three hour tour………
The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Gilligan, the Skipper too,
the Millionaire, and his Wife,
the Movie Star, and the rest,
are here on Gilligan's Isle.

As for which is my favorite, it's got to be Mary Ann.

Tina Louise (Ginger) actually thought the show was about her and she was a big pain to all the makers of Gilligan's Island. She said to TV Guide that she would not watch the show if she wasn't in it!
Poor SS! :(

I liked the Professor,
He always saved their butts.
He could build a nuclear reactor,
from a couple of coconuts.
I said, 'He's a genius.',
she shook her head and laughed,
and said "If he's so sly,
then tell me why,
he couldn't build a lousy raft?"
