when I am logged in to two accounts

one administrator and one Limited User on XP Pro and while in the Limited User account I start a web browser, that same program automatically starts in the administrator account (I know because when I switch to the admin account it's there without me having started it there -- only blank pages are there)

What gives?

Check the task manager and see what user name is actually associated with the process.

It shows both user names associated with the process (so it appears twice).

@Souron, Opera. It doesn't seem to happen with Internet Explorer.

When you install Opera... I think there is an option to install for "this user only" or "all users." If you installed for all users, it may be holding the process open if you're also using Fast User Switching.

Not sure though.

I only installed it once. Does that mean I chose "all users" option?

I use Fast User Swtiching. What would be the best option then for that? (and do I need to reinstall?)

Try disabling the fast user switching and see if it still does it.
