Where is Hyborem?

My first "Fire" game was on a pangea map. Hyborem was summoned after the continent was nearly fully settled and ended up being killed before I could finish the Mercurian gate- I never even saw him.

The game I am playing- Wheel map, 14 opponents, turn 500 and nobody has yet researched the veil, in fact every evil starting civ has adopted leaves or runes, with the exception of Auric Ulvin- making them all neutral. Lanun, of course, has overlords.

I was so looking forward to trying out the new hell features

if you want hyborem to get strong enough so that a few paladins or high preists cant take down his tiny empire, then play on maps with lots of land. preferably fantasy realm because they are almost entirely land and they scroll on the top and sides

Missing out! Maybe not having the right evil civ's, though I find they generally make one religion and forget the rest...
