Pardon me, it been a while i don't take a look at civfanatics and I can't find any information about it. So my question is: WHERE IS MY EDITOR!?!?

That let me think that Firaxis will only release it a month before xp just for make thirsty the fans that will eventually buy it. Another good way of marketing that I am sure everybody will dislike.

Message to Firaxians : What is going on with the editor?

If they care about the fans they will anwser.

P.S.: pardon me poor english

they promised it in june
probably thought about it , and as you say, decided they want money for it, in one way or another.
i am personally sick of their tricks, i am not going to buy the xp, probably will be a new one after a month which will cost the same.
shame on them for making me buy the game twice, i just wont...

OR ELSE it was harder to develop than they had planned, and they decided to wait until they were sure it worked as it was meant to, instead of releasing patch after patch with Zouave and co constantly *****ing at them.

It was in beta testing last week, btw.

hey, by now it isn't even a month late! Wait a little, the later it comes, hte better it will be!

Ditto. They have no shame, BTW.

I wonder if Firaxis will someday go the way of Enron?

By the time they get the game even halfway right many people will have long ago given up on it.

Was this thing programmed by the guy from "Sling Blade"?
"UUUMMM, I likes musturd on my french fried potaters. Ummm hummm. Let me progam Civ 3. Umm humm".

Of course they're a lot smarter at marketing.

Oh, come on. They said June tentative. I'm sure that the editor will see the light of day for free. Most likely it was harder than they thought.

What on earth are you rambling on about? There's been an editor with the game ever since it came out. Look in your main folder, it's called Civ3Edit.

very true. so don't fret. they may be killing the bugs for us. (better than being flamed for not having fixed them)

Hey! I'm pretty sure I posted this message last week, but let's try it again!

It's in Beta Test now! It'll be released when it's ready!

Thanks!

Dan!

Dan somehow the news didn't circulate, and there's been so many newbie-quustions-threads that anything interesting qwas burried... Thanx again!

I don't suppose you could give us a clue as to what some of the features will be? Surely some of what you're adding is working by now, so maybe you could give us a pre-readme that only includes those?

I'm really hoping on seeing auto-bombard in the patch. Please tell me I won't have to wait until PtW.

Willem, Firaxians have hinted that unit naming will be in.:) That's not too important for some people but I think anything that helps immerse the civer in civ is good.:king:

That's the first civ3 thread I read in almost two weeks! For now, I am reading threads only in the OT, H&J and feed-back forums.

It's true, there are only noob's questions in civ3 forums.

I am losing interest in civ3 since warcraft3 is avalaible. I hope the civ3 editor that will allow custom scenarios will bring me back to play civ3.

Though Firaxis isn't charging for the new editor, I see nothing wrong in principle for charging for new features.

How much money per hour are you willing to pay for fun?

I'll bet we pay waaaaay less than a quarter per hour for Civ3.

Forthoffer: everyone expected the original CivIII game (and it's editor) to have at least the same features as the old CivII cheat mode. And that is why we all want it for free - and why Firaxis claims it will be for free!
