GO PURPLE!

Voted white

Well, I would have reserved the hill for the temple - with a huge statue of Mars, of course.

PLEASE don't mix in the RPG with the Demogame! Only the demogame should be affecting the RPG! If we wanted the RPG to affect the demogame, we could have chosen warlord difficulty, or even chieftain

1, 2 & 3 are all good sites: all for different reasons.

Site 1(Cyan) is good because it will allow us to eventually build a coastal city just north of the wines without too much overcrowding.

Site 3(White) is good because we can build it immediately. It crowds the Northern Coast even less.

However, Site 2(Purple) gives us a defense bonus and gives us an immediate luxury(once we build a road). We won't need to worry about a Temples for quite a while with this site. It also gives us the most Plains and both Wines within the max city radius.

In a tough decision, I will cast my vote for Site 2(Purple).

I believe Spot 1 is the best spot, it has a luxury like purple, and leaves room for a coastal city directly north. True, it does lack defense bonus without being built on hill like purple, but it has hill all around it to provide further protection that way, and better alert for when something is coming.

My vote is for Cyan.
