Where To Go From Here?!

Hello Team CFC,

I'm at a crossroads in my current game. I'm not sure whether to go for the Space victory (nice and easy, but i've done it a few times) or the high-risk cultural (which I've never had before.)

So, I've decided that maybe if you're bored and you've got nothing to do, you could "evaluate" my game and give me some pointers?

Well, you can obviously cruise to a Space Race win, but you already knew that.

Athens and Sparta shouldn't have any trouble going Legendary. The problem is that you've kind of split the 3rd city up. Thebes has the 3rd most culture right now, but I think Corinth actually has more potential. You've split up the wonders instead of concentrating them in your 3 Legendary cities.

I would still try to make Corinth your 3rd Legendary city. Unfortunately, it's set up more as a production city right now. Since it had the National Epic, you need to turn it into a Great Artist Farm. Get rid of the Watermills and Farm everything (OK, keep the 1 Town). Throw as many Artists into the city as you can fit and keep the Great Artists coming.

Finish up Democracy and build the Statue of Liberty, but then make sure you get Biology. Biology will get even more food into Corinth for more Artists. Then Electricity and Radio (Eiffle Tower, Broadway and Rock & Roll) and then you can go 100% culture.

I noticed that you have a few religions, but you're not really using them for the Cathedrals. A couple of Cathedrals can really help your cities out.

I'd really love to play these huge maps with all of those civs in it, but my computer can't handle it. Heck, it took me 15 minutes just to load your save.

Corinth is a production city, aye? Why not have it put those hammers to work and build some culture?

Thanks for the help, I've got the SoL being built in Corinth and stuffed it with artists.

just post a screen shot and it makes things easier and simpler to read. Though in your case loading up the save is probably necessary anyways.

One thing I try to do in cultural games is separate my artist farm from my legendary cities; settling or culture bombing the artists in a city that is building culture/cultural buildings and/or producing lots of commerce -> culture.

Driving up the slider and turning off tech is a great way to top off a culture win, though if Corinth is production, you could try building culture itself. Do a couple of quick back of the envelope calculations to see what's faster.
