Where To Locate Saved Games/Files?

Hope this is an easy one:

I recently started playing Civ5 because of the positive feedback I've been reading about related to gameplay after the last patch (.275) was released.

I've been playing a few games and making lots of saves along the way. However, when I go to look for the saves on my hard disk (I want to transfer a few to another home computer), I can 't find any of the ones recently saved. Where are they?

A little more background info: Initially, I looked in the C://Users/(my user name)/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Saves subfolder but only some older (circa October 2010) saves were there. I also looked in the "Single" subfolder...no recently saved files could be located. I did a Win7 file search using the keyword "single" and sure enough all of the saved files are located in the search box (same pathway as above). But, when I actually revisit the "Saves" folder, no saved files appear.

I can see all of the recent saves when playing the game (with Civ5 application running)...and I know -- or at least I think I do since the option isn't checked -- that I haven't "saved" to the "Steam Cloud" (no saved contents when checked). Furthermore, trying to locate the "autosaves" in the "Autosaves" subfolder (within ...Civilization 5/Saves/Single folder) yields nothing. I've even selected the "show hidden files" folders option via the Control Panel...still no luck in seeing any recent saves.

So where are the saved and autosaved files stored? Has one of the later patches changed the way things are stored/viewed? Something I'm not thinking about causes the saved and autosaved files to not be visible within my user's "Sid Meier's Civilization 5" subfolder?

Help!

Your C://Users/(my user name)/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5 folder should look something like this, with the standard save locations highlighted:

Thanks for the responses, however no solution yet:

Torvald; Not using any mods, so the saved files SHOULD be where they were previously (before a set of patches)

MouseyPounds: Thanks for the pic, unfortunately those locations don't contain any of my most recently saved games. The Civ5 folder contents are the same, just no saved games in any of the subfolders.

Anyone else have a suggestion/solution to where the saved games could be?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions...I finally found the files (in a different directory).

Don't know how prevalent my setup "quirk" is for others, but it may have something to do with how Windows 7 (my O/S) sets up things in the "My Documents" folder:.

(Where I initially looked for/thought it would be: (My Documents)/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Saves

Note: The above "My Documents" folder is actually labeled with my user name and appears on my desktop; it contains the usual My Music, My Videos, Download, etc. subfolder contents)

Here's where I finally located the relevant files:

C://Users/(my user name--the only one on this computer, no separate user accounts, but not the "Public" user)/Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Saves)

The difference was that it could only be found if I went to the Users folder and selected "Documents" folder and then continued on to the "My Games" subfolder, etc. Strange--not the way or location the My Games was set up under WinXP (my previous O/S).

Greatly confusing the issue was that I have an almost identical contents "My Documents" (labeled with my user name) on my desktop. I don't know why there are two copies of things within these two subfolders, but there appears to be. I only installed Civ5 (via Steam) once, so why there is another set of Civ5 files in the "My Documents"/My Games location is still a mystery...to me.

I haven't deleted the duplicate "My Games" subfolder yet, but that will be something I try (to avoid any future confusion) once I create a Win7 restore point.

Hope the above is--somewhat--understandable.
