Where ye from?

I'm danish - living in Aarhus, Denmark - the small Scandinavian country covertly trying to take over The European Union from the inside. :D

(We still haven't decided wether to go for a cultural or diplomatic victory though... )
As you've noticed in Eurovision, diplomatic will only work if you're in the Balkans. So Denmark, cut yourself off from Germany, break down that bridge between you guys and Sweden, and make yourself over to the Balkans. Then you'll have a decent chance. <3

London was my birthplace and still visit regulary, although i lived in oxford for last 8 years.

Thats a generous offer, now if only someone around here owned an airline...

We spent a couple weeks in Rome and Positano, what an awsome trip. I didn't happen to notice how gay the people were but I was highly impressed by everyone's driving. Forget NASCAR, just pull up a chair at one of those sidewalk cafes, very exciting.

have you found a airline owner?
however i was just kidding when i've said that milan and rome people are all gays
the correct word for them is nooob

Well, we got pretty close to a cultural victory when we won and beat the s... out of Germany, The Netherlands and co. at the 1992 European Championship in soccer. :D

Alas, we lost it all when your obsolete stack of doom got there asses handed to them in 1996 by - well everybody else...

We tried a hostile takeover with the Dogme motion picture concept as well, but then we got the anti-Great Artist Lars Von Trier who screwed that up too. :mischief:

Ontario, Canada. :D I've lived in Canada my whole life. My parents are Israeli and technically but not legally iraqi, so I suppose i'm made up of canadian/israeli/iraqi :P I wana move to the US sometime, maybe New York. The US is awesome in my opinion.

Did you miss Drew Tate's post?

No, but he didn't strike me as some one who would defend this incompetant president to the death when considering his shortcomings. Just because one votes for Bush doesn't mean they like him. The last election was really a choice between sarin and VX. Pick your poison.

why could he not just be left be, at no time in the past has saddam ever posed a threat to the US or the UK, only iran (hardly the wests best friend) and kuwait, which was succesfully defended and saddam was not gonna try that again.

Well, America is still an empire, just not an evil one. This war is simply finishing what was left undone in the last Gulf War. The last three presidents have really screwed us on foreign policy, but at least Bush Junior has taken a more aggressive approach, which means he isn't a total failure.

Interesting Thread... I would not have guessed that there are SO many folks here from outside the U.S.A. And basically y'all speak (write) very good english!!

I was born in Philadelphia - went to college in Ohio & ended up staying there 15 years. Moved to the Dallas, Texas area 22 years ago.

My ancestors are mostly from the Brittish Isles - long ago - Welsh & Scottish. My maternal grandmother was from France - met my grandfather during WW1 and moved here to marry him in something like 1917.

Conservative. Support the President.

.

Yeah,... imagine that... even some of the English people here speak English... not to mention the Irish... maybe its because we were speaking it here long before there was even white people in America?

Im from Co. Down, Northern Ireland, British citizen.

Home is the South Coast of England.
Never planned on leaving, but I am currently living in the US because I married one of those American women my mother warned me about!
After some time in Northern California we now live in Central Florida.
We actually have four Civ players in one house as, in addition to me and my wife, our children (6 and 7) also love the game.

@mjs0: that would only be cool if you had 4 computers, but then I suppose the expansion would cost you about $100 too.
