Which are your top 5 favorite board games

If you are looking for video reviews for some of the lesser known board games around (like some of the ones mentioned here) you can go to www.boardgameswithscott.com

He's got over 38 reviews for different board games, each review lasts 15-30 minutes depending on the complexity of the game. He does a very good job of it too.

Thanks to his website, I found out about Carcassone, Ticket To Ride, Lost Cities (a card game), and others that I've enjoyed which otherwise wouldn't have known. I just mention this because I just thought looking at the posts, that some of you might get something out of it if you enjoy board/card games, but it's difficult to sometimes decide to buy a game based on a written review, whereas a video of the game gives a much better feel for the gameplay.

Just my 2 cents.

That's a very good advice. Furthermore, you don't even need to read the rules as Scott does an excellent job of explaining the game.
Before I played Santiago, I watched his review, and bam I was ready and itching to play.

You gotta love the borderline campiness of it too :)

I know that I would have saved some serious money if his reviews had been around when I was shopping for a boardgame to play with my kids. Anyways, yes Scott is a great voice for board games in general and his reviews are entertaining even if you don't like the game, due to his way of reviewing the games.
