The placing requirement is a problem for Pedro. Rainforest outside his borders negs the appeal.

The other notable change with preserves is how they buff natural wonders. AoE wonders want preserves placed adjacent to their adjacent tiles, which is problematic in for picking up the era score, and indeed, requiring a huge amount of land. Four tile workables become S-tier with a preserve on each double side.

Ubsunur, while hysterical as Russia (+12/24 adjacency in one game, cue mad scientist giggles), was the first or second NW everyone turned off when they got the option and now it's strong. Gob and the Chocolate Hills go from being meh to fantastic.

The amenity and card rework nurfing tall feeds into this. If we are not going for pop 15, then fewer supertiles fit better with the meta.

Somewhat, but dessert doesnt have any trees or base yields, can't plant trees, disproportionate mine luxes. The three tiles would be uber, but odds are the other fifteen would be dog poo.

Somewhat is definitely the operative word. I did make it work once when I was suzerain of Nazca but without them it would have been ok rather than awesome

Yeah with Petra/ Nazca porn it could get out of hand.

I was going to say Korea and discuss kimchi, but then I remembered Germany, Norway and England all have endemic methods of preserving food as well. Most civs have some method when you come to think of it.

But on topic, probably Ted or Kupe.
